Ruby Bridges!

           Ruby Nell Bridges Hall
                       By Eliana/Sophia

We are finished learning about Ruby Bridges... the first African-American to attend an all white school in New Orleans and end segregation.

                                 Process
First we did research and wrote a poem on Ruby Bridges then we researched on the Internet that day in history and looked at the signs the protesters held up.   We wrote them down on poster paper for our presentation. We also made a life size image of Ruby Bridges, dressed her in colored paper, and that is the process!

                           Presentation
First our announcer Eliana introduced the presentation, then Sadie and Sophia read a book that Sadie wrote on Ruby Bridges next we introduced our life sized Ruby Bridges to the audience and held up the signs that protesters held up to simulate what it was like for Ruby.  Nadija then showed some pics from the actual event and explained them. Then people who had written poems read them, and for our grande finale we held up and read the good signs we made which stated we should love one another cherish each other.
